Dr. George CatlinCould Christ or Buddha help us now? with Dr. George Catlin, PhD

Dr. George Catlin will ask this question in all seriousness at the Fellowship for Today in East Lansing Tuesday, June 10. Dr. Catlin speaks from a background in the "Ageless Wisdom Teachings," a body of knowledge made public over the last 130 years by individuals such as H.P. Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society, and Alice A. Bailey, founder of the Arcane school. Catlin will state that a group of fully enlightened individuals like Christ and Buddha will emerge into open roles in the world in the immediate future. Then, as now, the question will be are we open to their help? Are we willing to forego the familiar patterns of competition and materialism in order to build a world where all can live in peace?

Dr. Catlin, author of The Way to Happiness and The Long Journey Home, will speak at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 10 at the Fellowship for Today, 855 Grove St, East Lansing. For more information on Dr. Catlin visit www.TheTeachings.org. Further information on the Fellowship for Today is available at www.fellowshipfortoday.org or phone (517) 337-4070.

A long-time member of the Findhorn Community in Scotland and a founding director of the School of Spiritual Science in Shutesbury, Mass., Dr. Catlin has taught and lectured on the Ageless Wisdom Teachings for more than 25 years. "The single most important event happening on the planet today," says Dr. Catlin, "is the gradual emergence of the Masters of Wisdom into the modern world.

"Imagine, if you can," he says, "how different life would be if there was a recognized group of fully enlightened, totally selfless, absolutely loving servers openly working day in and day out for the betterment of humanity. "Their example would inspire all, and their efforts would surely lead to genuine transformations in the basic fabric of society itself. All this will be the case in the immediate future."

Dr. Catlin, author of The Way to Happiness, has also written for a number of scholarly publications, including Share International magazine, Social Cognition, and the Journal of Social Psychology. He holds a doctorate degree in psychology and taught in liberal colleges for 12 years.

He has delivered more than 100 talks on the spiritual path and the approach of the World Teacher to humanity. Dr. Catlin lives in Los Angeles with his wife and has two grown daughters.
