The Red Basket Fund serves individuals within the Fellowship Community in times of financial need. Please refer to the following information to request financial help:
- A request for financial help should be put in writing and directed to the chairperson of the Red Basket Fund.
- All requests to help applicants in financial need will be honored if funds are available.
- Applicants who have not received funds will be given precedence over those who have already received help from the RBF.
- Definition of "member of FFT community" includes official members, and those who regularly attend or provide services to FFT.
- Requests are responded to in the following ways:
- An amount up to $300 may be given to the applicant initially, without requirement of repayment. This may be in one or more requests. Tithing to the Red Basket is to be encouraged.
- Subsequent requests (above the initial $300 within a two-year period) would be considered as a loan with no interest applied and payment due within a year.
- If an individual requests assistance with building prosperity consciousness, this could be arranged.
- A loan must be paid in full before another request is honored.
Contributions to the Red Basket Fund are gratefully received. They may be placed directly into the red basket. Our Red Basket emissary is Leo Siefert. Contact him at (517) 482-1461 or lsiefert@sbcglobal.net, for more information.
